The new shelter at DSC Inaugurated

From broken shelters to a brand new house with disability friendly surrounding, ICA Nepal has completed the project of constructing a new shelter for the people living with disabilities at Disabled Service Centre (DSC). On November 23rd the new shelter was inagurated among huge crowd of people from different walks of life by the Hon. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare Mr. Chandra Prakash Mainali.
The inauguration ceremony held at the premises of the new shelter was a huge success and finally one troubled chapter in the lives of the PWDs has had a happy ending :)

On the auspicious occasion of Deepawali ICA Nepal is pleased to announce the progress of the shelter being built for people with disabilities living at DSC after the house they were renting was razed to the ground in April 25 quake. following are some photos of the new shelter.




The shelter consists of four bedroom, two each for men and women, one kitchen and one bathroom. The new shelter has added new zeal among the residents at DSC.
